Sounds like you've got the openers down but you need to work on your conversation. I recommend reading some books/material on PUA.

It's a huge topic so I can't really type it all out, but there are certain key things you need to achieve. I'm gonna give you some top tactics. You need to be confident, talk to her, be direct about your sexual intentions, etc. which you've already got.

You then need to get into a silly conversation, where you can shit test each other. A great example is that scene from Deadpool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjG54u8_wiE where they start flirting. They're talking total shit about their childhoods, but he's maintaining his frame and composure, never gets lost for words (or acts lost for words), is calm and witty.

There are lots of ways to get into this, the best method is to cold read her. Look at her appearance, the way she talks etc. and make a guess about her. Doesn't matter if you're wrong or right. Tell her you're never wrong. Tease her. Tell her you knew it. Girls like it when people try to guess things about them.

Once there, tease her, and/or amplify your own assumption. Take it to ridiculous levels. You guess she's 'creative' like an art student or whatever. She says yes, she studies design.

Where you're going is to define yourselves as a team. This team mentality is one of the strongest ways to game a girl.

So you say I'm terrible at drawing but I'm badass at colouring in. You draw, I colour. We're gonna be famous. You like animals, right? We could do giant murals of giraffes and t-rexes. We'll split the profits fairly, 80/20 to me.

Get with the teasing (the 80/20 comment) so she's drawn into the fantasy story to defend herself, and keep it going. etc. etc.

You're talking shit but you've put yourselves on the same team and you're fantasising. Girls love that shit. It's basically what shit testing and A&A is all about. It's showing that you can maintain your frame and composure effortlessly.

Build up rapport, then close the deal.

That's a very simplistic version and there are tons and tons of things you should do throughout and ways to close etc. but that'll get you a step or two further.

Never ask questions that are yes/no. Never say anything about yourself that isn't directly tied to what you're talking about. Never try to impress her by telling her something you think a girl would like to hear for example that you own a house / car / have a great job, they really don't give a shit. Tell instead of ask (Give me your number, tell me your name, etc. instead of What's your number? What's your name?). Remain composed even if she has a negative reaction to a question. Those are some basics. Good luck.

Oh, to answer your question about the emergency thing, as long as you have the fantasy story laid out you can just go back to it at any time. Changing conversation immediately back to it without explanation is always a winner. You start talking about summer plans, and it gets a bit boring, so you say "Yeah the weather is pretty great. I've changed my mind about the giraffes, we're going full Jurassic Park. Best movie ever right?"

You sound like you've been reading a lot of PUA material. A lot of that is valid, but I would read the sidebar on the main subreddit and try and learn more of the RP theory. Apply it to what you already know.

I have nothing specific for you other than maybe try to minimize asking the interview type questions. Women are creatures of emotion. Don't ask boring questions like:

"Hi what's your name? What school do you go to? Where do you work?"

Getting her hame is obviously important, so when she tells you, react with something funny or interesting.

"So you're Sally huh? You must be trouble then."

She'll say wonder why that is, so when she asks, you go into a story about all that trouble, or weird and crazy shit that's happened to you around people named Sally. This is just one example, but it should get the point across.

Stop using the word "set." As someone mentioned read more of the sidebar... youre falling flat because youre still one dimensional. It's ok, but nows the time to refine yourself a bit and act more naturally. Always assume attraction btw...

Be direct with a plan, an example

-Opening Quack Quack

-I’m going to (blank) right now, but I have a few minutes let’s grab a coffee. (Don’t ask her if, or say we should, make a confident demand).

-If she says yes, change venue push/ pull tease, give her your phone and tell her to put your number in it.

If she says no, neg/tease and then hand her your phone and tell her to put your number in it, and tell her “maybe” you will text her later.
if she says “I have a boyfriend/husband” tell her you don’t care he’s not invited.
once venue has changed escalate push/pull until she says no or let’s you proceed.

This is an example, not a checklist, it must be natural. Handing the phone is key I have learned. You are giving her something physical and personal and communicating non verbally that you want her in you space.

Also it is less awkward, no pauses or what was that not number? Comments.

Last thing find out what she loves and super love it.

“Really you like art, I fucking love art”

and then follow it with something smart/witty on the subject that shows you do, it doesn’t have to bee that great.

“But seriously what’s with that Picasso guy, tell me he wasn’t a bit touched in the head, talented for sure, just a little psycho.”

And of course great eye contact

you're using that phrase wrong.

It's set the hook. As in fishing when you get a bite you give it 1 hard jerk to set the hook into their cheek.
