Stay out of the clubs and chat up everyone you meet throughout the day. You'd be surprised how many chicks you can hook up with by just walking up and introducing yourself during the day.

Start with smaller steps, read up on various game stuff and just have fun with it at work, on the bus, whatever until you are confortable approaching women (not to get laid yet, just a relaxed talk, for practice)

Do this for a while until you notice you're getting better, funnier, etc.

Escalate but slow and steady. In a while you should be able to just grab a random girl in a club but until then, baby steps

Bloody hell... this was diff-i-cult

So, I went out anyway. More in an observational capacity, not to pull. And just to have a few drinks and things like that.

Now it wasn't that I had zero luck, I don't think I saw a single guy there manage to get with any other girl, unless they had already walked in with them of course. I did see a few approaches and I decided to do the whole lean against the bar and just watch, lead by example type thing. Nope, every guy I even looked at got shut down in varying degrees of either fun rejection or a pretty stern push.

I went out to the smoking area for a break. I saw a couple of girls there. Now, just to put a back story to it, I noticed them due to one of them wearing the same band shirt as me. There were a few look exchanges but nothing much.

Anyway, I went out, saw her there with her (girl) friend. I sparked up and asked if I could join them. Damn, talk about hostile. She just said, "It's a free country..." and then went back to talking in depth with her mate. I did try to enter the conversation a few times, but it was pretty much ignored.

I think I got my work cut out for me, hahaha. Like, bigtime. Shit, how do you guys do it!?

The one thing I felt I didn't have was a place of retreat. My friends are pretty much all wifed up and don't "go out" anymore. So I'm pretty much on my own. I did notice that the guys who did get shut down could all retreat to the refuse of their mates. So, I guess first mission really is, as sad as it sounds... I need some new mates hahaha.

I never realized that getting back into the dating scene after being in a LTR for so long was this difficult. Day-yum.

Don't start with clubs. They're a very hostile and competitive environment and you probably won't get laid unless you really know what you're doing.

What you have to realize is this. You have to go out. You have to approach. Whatever we tell you won't mean shit unless you actually go out and put it to work. Check some youtube channels like rsdtyler and take a look at what they're doing, then just go out and start approaching. You can start off with simples shit like asking for the time, and then take it from there.

Well, girls enjoy music too. So I wouldn't be surprised there were girls there just having fun, drinking with their mates and dancing. Next time, I would suggest changing your perspective...try doing the same. Women are very intuitive about a guy's motives, despite how suave you might think you're being. Try superseding your goal to "get laid" with something less threatening like "having fun"
