That's exactly how my last LTR ended, except I was BP and it took me a month to figure out she was done but was trying to be "graceful" about it aka she was waiting until I graduated so she didn't have to see me anymore.

This situation is akin to a tailspin in an aircraft. You bailed out and pulled the parachute. Next time you still won't have a clue how to pull a relationship out of a fatal tailspin because you didn't use the opportunity to practice here. Its not about her, its about learning how to be an expert pilot.

What you should have done is kept your mouth shut and withdrawn in other ways.

There is a bit too much of a "jump ship" philosophy here at TRP. If she is getting distant, just start prepping for the split. Workout more, spend more time with friends, start cultivating options with other females. The very act of getting ready for the split will often hit their feels and bring them back into the fold, in a way that a verbal ultimatum would never do.

...And once that split does come, you'll be emotionally, physically, and socially prepared.

Ultimatums are useless. When you realized that you were not into anymore you should have broke it off then. There's no point in dragging out something that you already know is not working.

You ultimately did the right thing, but only because you got lucky. If she would have said "Baby I'm sorry, things will change they just are crazy right now.." then you'd be fucked, because you'd still be there.

You got lucky only because she has swung already and you broke it off before you could find out that she's getting cock left right and center. Oh you will still find out, but at least you are kinda insulated since hopefully you already expect this to be the case.

In the future either employ biblical TRP which states a woman provide respect in return for a man's love. Or go Neo-TRP - and employ dread.

But honestly? Once you have to run dread past level 4 or whichever is the level above passive dread (self improvement) I don't think it's really worth it. You might as well just find another one..

For the love of god please do not contact her, improve yourself and she most likely will be back. Don't take that as a signal that you've got it in the bag with her, shes lost respect and it's nearly impossible to get it back at this point but use that signal as a metric for your improvement and know that you are now on the right coarse.
