College isn’t for everyone. And with the price of college the way it is now, at the least in the US, you could argue it isn’t for anyone.

You can make good money as an electrician. Learn the trade. Learn the business side too. You can start your own business and make even more.

If you decide to, it’s never too late to go back to school.

Do the electrician thing. That field has much more entrepreneurship potential than medial machinery.

Bitching is okay, you are 16. Do hobby projects in electronics, then don't get garbage grades. And please, don't forget to lift and squat. Squatting is the most massive thing you can start doing for yourself which you will reap in college tenfold.

I didn’t start engineering school until 21. But I barely passed highschool and hated it too. But once I graduated at 18 and worked in construction, I changed my mind.

You’re young af, don’t rush it. Just stay healthy, keep all your limbs, and don’t knock up crazy. Oh and don’t marry crazy.

If I could say just one sentence to 16 year old me: Don’t do drugs & don’t trip over bitches.

For post high school, find a solid paying job (ideally with insurance benefits) doing something you’re not terrible at (auto mechanics, yard work, construction, warehouse etc) and befriend your coworkers. They will most likely be way older & they’ll fuck you around a lil bit because you’re the youngest. This means they have the life experience and knowledge you don’t yet. A lot of new friends & connections as long as you’re not the epitome of a zoomer.

Guys in trades are making 100k by age 24 with ZERO college debt. If you hate it, then you can still quit and go to college. I know it's tough, but try to keep your emotions out of it and think logically about what the smartest choice is for you.

If you are in High School, just get good grades, work out, and chill out. Nothing you do at this stage of your life really matters at all. I didn't really understand what I was "supposed" to be doing until I was 25.
