I'd say it depends. If you have high SMV, it can be used in your favor to have one (after all, girls literally dedicate a part of their day to show off on instagram). But it's not necessary. I found it easier to just get a girl's number wo having any social media bias: theres no bs, straight to business, easy to cut off wo any social drama.

As a college student, yeah it's easier to have some sort of social media to communicate w people. No it's not weird for you not to have an instagram. And if people ask why, just say you just don't. There's no longwinded, philosophical answer. You just don't find it interesting or necessary.

I have one and basically just use it for social proof and smv shit right now. If I go for a run and it's hot and my shirts off, sure I'll put a picture in my story. Or if I go on a trip, hang out with friends ect. Don't catalog your whole life on there, that's dumb and counterproductive. Just post something cool once in awhile.

My IG is on private and I don’t give too much info away on whatever the public can see via bio and profile pic.

Most girls who were very interested in me that saw me frequently( class, parties, etc) would go out of their way to let me know they found me on IG and were waiting on me to approve the follow request.

My opinion on having an IG is that if you can maintain one- use it for social proof because it helps a lot. I have a friend who has 4K followers but very few photos and his DM slides work more than others. If you don’t look like a serial killer and aren’t posting anime, an IG is not gonna make it or break it with a girl who wants you IRL but it will break it for a girl who you are trying to e-seduce.

If your IG is not gonna be good, poorly orchestrated or maintained I would suggest not having one at all or keeping it private. You’ll meet plenty of girls in college and can have IRL game instead of internet game with strangers. Girls are very critical tho so here’s my hierarchy for you: Good IG > No IG > Weak IG. Now that I said that, the answer is obvious common sense, your question is a common sense one.

Might be important for social circles, I'm trying to get a socially acceptable number of posts, maybe 18. Basically it's just to avoid the question of why I don't have it. Definitely doesn't help you get laid.

I know people with 20k followers who are just average irl.

Just leave it dead in the water. I took up photography for a little while and posted pictures I took on there for about 6 months, then lost interest and haven't posted since. Just left it and forgot about it. If a woman looks me up she will find an old profile with some nice pictures that hasn't been used in a a couple of years. If she decides that she doesn't want to see me anymore because I only have 5 or 10 likes on some of my pictures, then good fucking riddance. Can you imagine how fucking shallow of a woman she must be and how fucking awful it would be to have a conversation with someone with such a small fucking life that she bases her decisions on the number of likes on your pictures? You might as well get a lobotomy, and even then you wouldn't find her interesting to talk to.

Sounds like you want to delete your account. If you do, do so permanently, else just keep it and make it look a little better. I personally would never bother with that shit. Either way you shouldn't be insecure about your instagram even if it's shitty. If anyone comments on your beta-ness in your profile just laugh it off and tell them it was a long time ago.

I have one with only a picture of baby me and my mom, and I have like 200 followers from college. Super easy to get numbers (followers,likes,etc. like, just for following someone, you get suggested to their followers) , but you get lost in the crowd in no time. That whole social network is empty of meaningful content. Use it only if you're ripped as fuck, or have a cool lifestyle, cool hobby, etc., 'cause it's shallow all the way, and you can't trade ideas like here.

When I was in uni I never used IG so you could survive.

Do you have some hobbies that are worth sharing? If you do, then yeah. Not just for raising SMV but it is a good way to connect people and share your craft. I use my IG to share my music and the SMV part is just the side effect.

I'm a still firm believer that getting numbers is better than IG. But it's a plus to get their IG as well. Just don't post anything you do and like girl's pics all the time.

The vast majority of Instagram addicted girls are time wasting thots. You’ll have to invest too much time and effort to build and maintain your Instagram presence only to get your time wasted by random sluts the majority of the time.

Ask anyone you know who has a few thousand (or even a few hundred) followers about their success with girls irl due to their IG presence and you’ll see that the success is negligible compared to the amount of work they have to put and stress they have to go through. Besides they’re probably dumbfucks anyways.

I personally deleted my IG a few months ago and never looked back. I am still able to attract new girls but girls who don’t judge you based on your IG followers count. In other words not shallow time wasting attention whores.

Heres what I did, I bought some followers and I took some high quality pics. Hire a photographer or whatever and take your time to make some high quality posts.

Instagram is not only good for girls but its an awesome way to network and keep contact with other people. Think of it as tool.

I find it to be better than Facebook since you don't have to be very active in it in order to have a good profile.

I also like to think of instagram as a showcase for yourself, that where you show off your best version. And its good 'cause down the road you can look back on it and be proud. 40 years from now your grandkids are gonna look your profile up and be proud of you.
