Humor is effective on probably 75% of women (Just throwing random out there) and other means I would suggest are a lesser percentage, i.e. stoicism 25% and so forth.

Just kidding. It's necessary unless you have a 9 inch cock, or 5 million dollars to overcome your lack of humor. :)

It's easy, though. Being that you're a very serious guy, deadpan should come easy to you. You need to learn how to pull it off and such, because it isn't without pitfalls for the inexperienced.

Seek to become well-rounded, instead of how to compensate for a HUGE GIANT lack of something. If you do that, then your good traits can shine without a "but..."

Growing a sense of humor is the BEST thing you can do, personality wise, to be successful with women. A sense of humor gives you a few things:

It gives you an "out" whenever you cross a line. You can say damn near anything in the name of humor, and if you can attach an "I'm joking!" or a "ha! not really! I'm just playing!" to it, and then make them laugh afterward, all is forgiven and forgotten.
"Girls just wanna have fun!" If you present yourself as the most insane, over-the-top Fun Machine they have ever seen, you will have no problems attracting and pulling women. The more "fun" you are, the less accountability, responsibility and obligation you can get away with. Women don't feel guilty about having a ONS with the life of the party - you become a caricature that enables them to see you as a purely sexual object of "fun", and it's easier for them to rationalize having sex with you if you seem like you have lots of sex anyway.
A strong sense of humor and an outgoing personality trumps everything but money. I can't stress this enough. As a short guy who's always been chubby, you will never see me complain about being short or fat, EVER - because I'm sociable, I'm funny and I'm outgoing and I know how to work a room. I've pulled hotter women than I have a right to, based on personality and sense of humor alone. I know my weaknesses, and I play to my strengths, and as a result, I can slay pussy well above my SMV.

Make women laugh, allow them to cut loose, show them a good time and they will be putty in your hands that begs to be played with. Sense of humor can be the most powerful tool in your arsenal. If you're not funny, start watching stand-up and work on your banter. Hang around funny guys and talk shit with them. Learn to see humor in everyday situations, and above all, relax.

Don't be the dancing monkey.

Roosh constantly goes on about how he has to put in a performance as a clown.

I find myself always resorting to playfulness with girls. It used to be humor but now it's more lighthearted banter and social sparring.
