As a general principle, you are better off moving on than going back. Most women want an exclusive LTR and no plate spins forever.

If you want to drop a line in that fishin' hole and see if it's fished out entirely or not, try this:

Just text, "S'up?"

If there's a positive response, go with, "We should hang out," and suggest a place/time.

If she says yes, set up a meet.

if not, go back to non-contact and move on. Above all, do NOT get sucked into a text exchange of the "where are we going with this" type.

At the meet-up, if there is one, game her face-to-face and she if she's ready to go back to plate status.

Odds are good that if you get this far, she will immediately hit you up for the GF upgrade. Deflect and go with, "I really miss you, but I'm just not ready for that deep a connection yet." If you can reference a bad breakup in your past it is useful at this point. Don't whine too much, though. Too much sensitivity is an attraction-killer.

You should probably wait at least another week. With any luck she will reach out to you first. But for fucks sake, get a new plate or two in that time. It can only help your mental state.

Usually when there is something hanging in the air like this, I will float out a text that is as content-less as possible to gage her temperature. You don't need to say you are interested in rekindling directly. Just the fact you are reaching out says that loud and clear. Women are all about covert communication, so they respond better to indirect talk.

So say something like "how's life?" or "So random, just saw [anything]" or even some goofy humorous random statement. If she responds, then she is at least somewhat interested and you can proceed from there. If no response, then you save yourself the direct rejection.
