Dont plan a date more than 3 days out. 2 is best. 3 hours before just throw out a "7pm still works for you?" If they say yes you have a date if they say no you don't. If they don't reply then whatever. I'm not doing small talk to keep them interested, they can go ahead and keep messaging me to keep me interested though.

it truly doesnt matter. you are getting too caught up in the theory crafting that you arent seeing the forest for the trees. at the end of the day, you are supposed to just do whatever you want. do you want to text her random shit? text her random shit. do you want to not message her at all? dont message her. do you want to message her just to say "good morning woman"? do it. do you want to keep your texting to just logistics? do that.

all you really need to know is that women can smell insincerity from a mile away. as long as you are doing the things you do because you legitimately want to do them, it really doesnt matter what you do

If you have plans already set in stone, DO NOT continue to text her. It kills attraction, gives you less to talk about when you meet up and makes you seem like you have no life.

And as for your question, I do firmly believe that no message (other than confirmation on the day) is better and has worked better for me in my personal experience(s). It is very easy to fuck up in text game, you can just ignore a text really easily and its even easier for girls. Also it really doesn't quite get her emotions spiking and actually thats what RSDMax defends quite a lot of times, spike her emotions, get her invested. , so its weird to see that he says keep texting?
