There’s a big difference between being an alpha and being a straight up dick. You can be independent but also friendly at the same time. There’s nothing wrong or “beta” about being really friendly. It takes a friend to be a friend, man. Adulthood can be extremely lonely, and we as humans thrive on social connections. You say “the betas” don’t get laid but honestly who gives a shit. Focus on YOU. Your “alpha” friends probably appear lonely because they’re just douchebags or have the wrong idea of what being alpha really means.

The extent of how seriously you take casual friendships as genuine things in part determines how beta you are.

Get comfortable in your own skin because that's what you wear your whole life.

I mean what I'm learning recently is that being a lone wolf only works if your good at shit and have something to back it up. I.e you have a talent, good at ball, have good taste in music something along those lines. The more you have the longer you can naturally hold your alpha state in different context. This will make people accept your cocky ness and alpha mannerisms and not try and put you down but rather do there best to please you. Focus on your shit, get good at it by whatever means beta or not and then hold your own.

at the risk of disagreeing with most.. in my opinion if you have gratitude and compassion for all (most importantly yourself) then people will want to spend time with you, alpha or not. in reading the book charisma myth the author states that traits such as gratitude and compassion are necessary to be charismatic. for me this is the core of my journey. it's been paying off drastically. imo building presence, compassion, and gratitude are more beneficial than gym, fitness, and fashion. i believe the journey itself an act of self compassion and self gratitude.

The point of the red pill is to see reality closer for what it is. No measure of happiness is guaranteed by peering into the Real. Happiness is a product of ignorance really. Alpha, beta, whatever; the question is "what are your goals?". On your way to achieving those goals, you will accomplish things and you will be happy for a bit, but, unless you stagnate, it doesn't last.

Well, personally I just don’t have the energy, or want to waste it on all the retarded drama that comes from social circles in a lot of cases. Let’s face it, the more you work on self-improvement, the more you notice how mentally restricted most people are. Just look around social media, people are so fucking indecisive about everything nowadays, they’re born a guy and waste their whole life (energy, money, time) trying to become a girl. All around you see fat people complaining how they can’t lose weight while stuffing big macs, when literally everything that it takes is the mental decision to eat something healthier or not eat at all. Losing weight isn’t fucking magic.

Having said that, you’re definitely thinking about the right things. But, at the end of the day it doesn’t matter if your friends are “beta” or “alpha” or whatever the fuck they call them on here, make sure they never hold you back with achieving your goals and preferably help you achieve them.

Friends are critically important for your mental health, your alpha/beta crap is just hamstering.

Outstanding men have zero problem with keeping friends, as others are drawn to them. Those who have little going for them except the alpha attitude or whatever indeed are lonely, for a good reason too.

When you don't have to deal with other people you will notice that your productivity increases. Your mind is like a computer and people are like programs that use part of your "RAM". The more you "RAM" is used up , the slower your mind becomes. Alphas need all the "RAM" available in order to get their stuff done.

Those people you talk about aren't really alpha. If you look back on the metaphor, the "alpha" comes from wolves and is the leader of a wolf pack. A lone wolf is not an alpha. What makes an alpha is being a good leader, and being a good leader is all about being able to build strong, connected and resilient social groups with you at the top of the hierarchy. Betas have good social lives because they get to participate in the social structure someone else built (without having to create one themselves), but the trade off is they don't get the pick of the best women.

The people you're talking about are just arrogant, egotistical assholes, who are appealing to women (especially in the PUA sense) but not really alphas.

This is a phenomenon I see in my complex nebula I call life. The more I ingest the so called red pill and try to improve myself the more flaws I see on other people and the more boring they become to me. A friend I called brother and he was the best to hang around with now seems kind of boring and not confident, I see that the jokes he makes are kind of depressing sometimes, even though I love him the more I stay in this voyage of self improvement the less I think of people that in the past I looked up to or thought were worthy of me and my time.
