I started off doing cold approach pick up around 2010 after first seeing RSD videos on youtube. I was still in high school at the time and my buddies and I would go out to our nearest college town and cold approach on the weekends (mostly day game). I kept the trend up of cold approaching every weekend going, and when I started college, I went through an "immersion period". I would approach atleast 5 new girls on campus every day and on the weekends I would go out for a few hours (18+ clubs at first, then 21+ clubs when I turned 21).

As you may know, cold approach is pretty brutal and I started to get frustrated at the constant rejections. I decided to try online dating. As a natural introvert, I really liked online dating (and still do) and replaced cold approaching with online dating (and a bit of social circle).

Over the next 5 years, I had sex with 80 women off online apps (tinder, bumble, hinge, okc, feeld, fetlife, etc.) . I noticed new skillsets started to emerge from online dating (I became way more centered, chill and perfected the art of logistics very well).

I thought I was "pretty good at game" at this point, having only focused on online dating in the past few years. But recently one of my old wings stayed at my place for a few days. He has been completely immersed in cold approach for the last few years. Both of us have been with many women but there were many striking differences I noticed in his personality from doing cold approach:

- He was TRULY free (his voice was loud, free of tension and walked around with a general fearlessness), whereas I tended to be a bit cautious and reserved

- He was able to date some incredibly hot women (with online dating, you do land a 9 or 10 here and there but nearly not as common as if you did cold approach)

- His reflexes were ON POINT - obviously from practicing cold approach religiously (and teaching it), but it made it seem like a superpower the way he approached girls

- Cold approach allowed him to directly go after he wants. I noticed that after doing online dating for so long, I tended to resort to "choosing signals" or wait for girls to be interested in me. Even then, I would show my interest passively. Or I would notice my general communication style was a bit passive, but my friend had no problem boldly asking for what he wanted - I definitely admired that.

- Cold approach allowed him to STEP UP in life - because the overall lifestyle keeps you SHARP mentally, he kept upgrading himself to shoot for new opportunities - whereas I had some "success barriers")

These are just a few things I've noticed. Anyways, I've started to go out again after feeling inspired, and have noticed cold approach become A LOT MORE FUN and easier since taking this break. I've also noticed the day after doing a night of cold approach, my mind is sharp and I'm on point. I would talk to girls in my social circle that I've built up over the last few years, and all of a sudden I'm saying the right things and they are flirting with me hard.
