After learning about the red pill, I noticed a trend where all my previous friends who were complete alphas of the group (i.e one guy was an alpha of our college friends, one was alpha of the workplace, one in sports, etc.) didn't really keep any close friendships over time. They were all very assertive, independent, and put themselves first, and did whatever they wanted to do. Of course they absolutely crushed it with women sexually (and even guys vied for their attention), but they were also difficult to get along with, totally unaccommodating and it was basically their way or the highway in social interactions. They had very few male friends and no female friends (only booty calls).

Conversely, I noticed that my more "beta friends" who didn't have any backbone, aimed to please/accomodate others, very friendly, had tons of platonic friendships with women would enjoy a rich social life (even if they were barely getting laid).

I'm wondering whether on our red pill/self improvement journey, should we keep some of our beta traits or learn how to adjust to an alpha's lifestyle.
