Summary: Are some shit tests unwinnable? How do you handle them?

So, I'm getting better at seeing and responding to shit tests. This happened naturally after imploding my last relationship but then I found red pill and learned more.

Anyhow, one example, requires some background. A few years back I was run over while out walking. Almost died, broke some shit, etc. Anyhow I got better, still some knee pain but whatever. Real impact is, I now feel uncomfortable around machines, things that could crush / bludgeon me, etc.

So girl and I were out at the fair. Good fun, good fun. We get to the ride area. I don't really like thrill rides, never did. I wasn't afraid but just found them unpleasant and didn't get the positive side many people do. But since my accident I actively dislike them, basically I'm nervous about a badly maintained hunk of metal that could drop/throw/crush me.

Anyhow, girl starts going on about she wants to go on the ride, doesn't want to go alone, etc and when I gently decline and tell her to go by herself she implies I'm a coward.

At this point how to handle? If I go on the ride, I'm a pushover she can manipulate. If I stay off, I'm a coward / weakling who isn't brave enough to ride a dumb ride (which anyhow would bore me).

Anyhow I think it's better to stay off. In that case, she can think I'm afraid or whatever, but in other areas and cases I've proven that I'll do something that I'm afraid of or uncomfortable with if it's necessary, and also it puts forth the idea that I don't do something I dislike just to make her happy.

But on the other hand I feel like any solution loses status at this point. What are your thoughts on this all? And do you have any other examples of lose/lose shit tests?
