TL;DR at the bottom.

So I've (25) been with my GF (21) for about 1.8 years now. Everything is pretty much great, we get along well, she's submissive to me and does everything to be close to me (even if it means it's a logistical "sacrifice" that costs her money), and so we decided to co-habitate in August (already have a place we've signed).

Now I know it's deeply encouraged around here to avoid co-habitation, but I decided to go for it because I don't see it as a huge amount of commitment as I can always bail with a small payment (which I made sure is small while signing for the apt.), and way I see it it's more of good move for me if it does go well as I assume it will, since :

  1. It's closer to my workplace and will save me about 45 minutes (out of 90 on average) of commute to my workplace.

  2. I'll finally start becoming more independent after 25 years of living at my parents and not handling a lot of stuff, something I've wanted to do for years.

  3. It's a good test to our relationship. My LTR and I get along very well, and I feel like if we are good for each other in the long term, this is one of the things that'll prove it. If I feel any sort of decrease in my quality of life that isn't related to getting out of my comfort zone, I'm out and will find a place on my own.

So as for the story. My GF had this sort of dream to go work in a hotel in this vacation city in the country where we live, it's something that a lot of people in my country do after their mandatory military service. About 1 year into our relationship she said she wanted to do it for 2 to 3 months and I told her I'm not down with it and if she's going to go through with it, I'm not sure about the consequences it'll have on our relationship but they probably won't be positive. I definitely don't believe in long distance relationships, as most of you could assume. So she gave up on it after we had quite a big fight about it at the time.

So it wasn't planned but out of the blue there came this opportuinity for her to do it recently. She wants to do it for the whole month of July while we're supposed to move in together at the very start of August, so basically we'll barely see each other (if at all) for the all month prior to moving in together.

Now, I feel this is a very weird move. She said she always wanted to do it and since I pulled the plug on that option back then, she wants to do it now. I told her I'm not sure how I feel about it but as for now I'll support her, but to be honest, I don't like it as it's super strange for my borderline-clingy girlfriend to suddenly be OK with not seeing me for a month, especially when there wasn't any change of dynamics in the relationships, she isn't getting distant and sex is still frequent and good as ever, as are other things in the relationship besides that.

What do you guys make of it? I feel like confronting her about how I don't like it will just put me in a weak spot, but she's kinda shoving me to that place so I don't know by this point.

TL;DR : GF wants to work at somewhere far where we won't see each other in the month prior to us moving in together, even though everything else is allegedly fine in the relationship. I don't like it. Confront or not?
