I study with a platonic female friend (6/10) of mine on occasion. Her hotter friend (8/10) will sometimes stop by to drop things off or stick around to talk to her. These visits range from 5 to 30 minutes.

The first time she dropped by we were introduced and interacted a little bit. I have no desire to pursue her sexually, but obviously if it was offered or within reach I wouldn't think twice about it. I'd say I'm about a 5 so it's a long shot, long enough that consciously it's not worth my time to game her at all.

I notice that when she comes around she ignores me. This doesn't bother me because obviously I understand why it's happening- as an 8 she gets to ignore 5s like me, fine. I won't delve into courtesy because it's a morality issue and I'm not interested in ethics.

Usually when she arrives I'll look up, say "hey" or "how's it going", and get right back to whatever I'm doing (usually studying) so the two of them can talk. Almost every time she pretty much carries on like she didn't hear me.

My question is what should I do in this situation?

My instinct when someone arrives is to greet them. One option would be to ignore her but I feel like that would be a cop out and really closes up the playbook. I want to demonstrate value from an amused mastery frame. This leads me to the second problem: when I get ignored like that I just chode out and lose my frame. It's complete indifference (not a shit test) so I know it's not something that game has the answer for, at least from what I've studied so far.

My goals: make her (want to) greet me, maintain frame better, gain power in the situation (by taking it from her)

Answer I'm not really interested in: letting go of "my ego" and "getting over it." This isn't a sexuality matter as much as a power matter. I feel like my presence is undermined when I'm ignored, and if that's just my ego talking then fine. I want to know how to respond when shit like this happens.
