I am in a sort of new-ish relationship with this girl; we have been seeing each other for around 3 months and recently we have expressed some intention for a longer term commitment. She even pronounced the words: “I love you” in a very meaningful sense (although I did not yet said the same).

The relationship had a strong frame: it started with an extremely strong sexual attraction. She told me how she loves the way I handle her in bed in a way she had never been, and she just loves surrendering to me and being dominated (to an extreme level, saying things like: “Rape me” or “Use me” when we fuck).

Now, this is all good; however, since we are getting into a more-than-fucking relationship I also start getting emotionally involved.

I want to be able to be more open about my emotions, without losing my frame or looking needy. I want to establish that my desire for a relationship is one of mutual support and understanding.

I am starting to have a feeling that this is lacking. Today, for example, I was not feeling in the best mood, and I sent her a text along these lines: “I want to hear your voice; I am having a moment of low state. It's not because of you: I am just feeling bad”. She immediately called me back, but she told me she was at university and had little time to speak with me. She seemed very aloof and felt uncaring. I cut the conversation short and tell her: “ok, looks like it's not the best time for this. Talk to you later. Bye”. When she finished with University, she sent me a text that she was going over her friend's place (female). Then, she sent me another text when she got home, but I just told her I was hanging with my friend at the moment. She didn't even once bring up my state of mind: and let's be clear that it was the first time I was even sending her a text like that.

Now, I feel bad about it and I feel like I want to tell her; I also feel like, being the beginning, this should be a good time to confront this matter, rather than later on. How would you deal with this?
