Make chicken in the crock pot as a stew and it reheats great for a long time.

I throw a bunch of chicken breasts into a crock pot, add some (real) bone broth, veggies, herbs and spices and go out for the day. Come back and I have a week's worth of meals.

I soak them in some kind of marinade overnight and then stir fry in a pan. You can get bottled marinades at stores. Don't go too overboard, but there are many marinades out there that don't have a lot of calories.

Yeah, reheated chicken (especially in a microwave) is disgusting. I've tried so many things, but the second I get a whiff of that death stench, I'm done.

What works for me is eating leftover chicken cold over a salad. When it's cold, that gross taste doesn't come into play.

I also recommend for cases like this buying ground chicken or turkey. Make that with pasta and kill it with tomato sauce (IIFYM, though).

Well if you're going to "reheat" chicken don't do it in a microwave. Reheating meat tends to dry it out, gives chicken that chalk texture. You can do what another commenter said though and make a large stew that will last you days and is very easy with a crock pot (use dried herbs and throw fresh in at the last bit of cooking). I would use a whole chicken and not just breast meat for this though.

If you bake chicken breasts, just try rubbing them with salt and cayenne and a bit of avocado oil on each (you can use olive, safflower, or whatever you like), then bake at 400 for 20 Minutes. I prefer to eat the chicken cold later, doesn't bother me. It's impossible to fuck up, just throw them in the oven. You can throw carrots in the baking dish too and roast them. I like to wrap up some sweet potatoes as well for the week. Those you'll bake a while longer.

Plenty of ways to go about it.

I cook mine on the stove in coconut cooking oil. Usually don't reheat, just end up eating the extras cold. Still juicy and good anyways.

A) You got to get used to more natural food. Most people are used to processed food and can't take natural foods.

B) Try different recipes until you find one you like.

C) Stop eating the processed food in order develop you taste for natural foods.

D) Microwaves ruin food, except for quick warming. Learn other methods. Stir frying is fast but fatty and has some oxidants. Poaching food works OK but food doesn't keep, eat it immediately. Never liked crock pots, some people do well. Steaming is an option.

E) Takes practice.

I like poaching, I can do the initial steps and then do something else for 7 -30 minutes depending on food. Poaching can be done with raw meat. Is finished when I get out shower in morning, or after an episode of some show.

My youngest is a competitive athlete. She is huge into protein and veggies. This is what I do for her. (In fairness, this is her mother's doing.) Crank up the oven to 400. Tear off a foot by foot piece of foil. Drop a full chicken breast in it. Slather it with some olive oil and a bit of garlic. Drop a little salt and pepper on it. Other seasons are good as you like, thyme and paprika are common choices. Crumple it up, put it in a glass baking dish and put it in the oven for 30 minutes. When done, let rest for like 5 minutes then serve. It you wait longer, it will drop all its moister and suck. Timing is important when it comes to chicken.

Chicken is unhealthy for you and the only reason people recommend it is because mainstream nutrition advice generally comes from sensationalist headlines from news articles cherry picking industry-funded studies either skewing the results or performing the study with flawed methodology.

Think about this logically, completely ignore what Men's Health and other fitness websites tell you. You are a man and you can understand this. What is in chicken? When you eat chicken, what are you actually eating in terms of nutrition? Let me tell you, because this is common knowledge yet nobody seems to make the connection:

Saturated fat and cholesterol. What do these do when you consume them? They raise your LDL "bad" cholesterol and increase your risk for developing heart disease, alzheimer's, dementia, and other symptoms of atherosclerosis AKA plaque formations in your arteries.

Chicken is a very shitty source of protein and minerals. When you can instead get your protein from legumes it honestly does not make any sense to choose chicken when you analyze it objectively. Beans provide fiber (essential for long term gut health), antioxidants (reduce free radicals i.e overall disease risk, promote arterial health) and don't give you cardiovascular diseases. It's like staring at two apples- one apple is just an apple, but the other apple is covered in poison. Which apple would you eat?
