I'm 26, turning 27 in a week and earn a decent salary, plus have good savings.

Have lived with my family the entire life.

Love them a lot and probably the only ones I can count on in my life. My parents took great care of me, gave me good food and spoiled me whenever they had the chance despite being lower to middle class our entire lives.

However I feel like I have stunted my growth as a person by living together with them. I cannot have people over, come in late, missed out on opportunities, etc. Feel like I became complacent and lost all my drive to be great.

Would moving out be a good idea? I can afford it easily.

The only con is my family doesn't see it the same way and chances are I'll do irreparable damage to my relationship with them. They are not liking the idea at all.

So do I take a risk and move out for a "what ifs" or choose the safer route and maintain a good relationship with my family?

Any TRPers that were in a similar situation? Want to clarify again that I love my family and we have a great relationship currently.
