Don't take out a car loan. Additionally you need to look at Dave Ramsey.

Save up for something decent you can pay cash for. You should already be budgeting your money in a manner that enables you to have a consistently growing savings account. If not, again, look up Dave Ramsey.

you could probably find a 3.6L 2010-2011 Chevy Camaro/ mustang/ challenger with 50k miles for about that. they're all about the same (300hp/270lbs torque) the mustang being the fastest due to weighing less sense they all pretty much use the same gear ratio. Only problem with those mustangs is you have to buy a 700$ drive shaft if you break it because they made it a two part (meaning if you go over 130mph it will snap in half which isn't the case for the other muscle cars.) you could probably find a 5.0/6.2 mustang/Camaro with 100k miles for the same price.

Try going to a credit union.

Personally I drive a 2015 Honda Accord Coupe V6 which follows all of the preferences that you're looking for. The exterior is semi-sporty but I fell in love with the interior, check it out!

My advice is that borrowing money is often, if not most of the time, dumb.

I'm not saying there aren't exceptions to this. There are.

But for your average 20 year old, I would encourage you to save the money you were thinking of spending and buy it outright in a few months.

That said, this is trp. You do you. I'm just sharing my experience.

Cash Buy a cheap car so you can do stuff you need with it then start saving up cash for investments . Fuck buying a new one cause its a depriciating asset . Start investing so one day you will not have to ask an online comunity for what car to buy. Cars come and go but time is of the essence

Get a 2011 2012 2013 Lexus CT200H, its hybrid and so luxurious. 44 mpg is real. It has a Toyota Prius engine which will save a lot for repairs or crashes. I did the same, happy as fuck!

Assuming you are in the USA

Lexus is300 (4-5k or cheaper) BMW 335i get the n55 variant (more reliable)

Audi s4 get the supercharged v6 model (more reliable) If you get the older V8 s4, make sure timing chain guides are replaced

Infiniti G37 (make sure oil gallery gasket is done)

Acura TL sh awd

Mazda speed3

Mazda speed6 (these are kind of rare)

Volvo may be interesting to look at especially their s60-r or s40-r

You should spend (but don’t have to) 10% of your pre-tax monthly income on a car. This includes insurance.

That’s $500.

Don’t finance a car for 60 months that’s a terrible idea.

Either lease a car or continue to save your money and buy a car with cash.
