Unlimited Memory by Kevin Horsley.

It's a good primer on memory techniques. Memory actually only works one way, so understanding how it works and developing it means you'll have what will seem like a super memory compared to most people.

I don't think the value of having an excellent memory needs explaining.

While the product itself sold poorly, this is a highly entertaining look (by an embedded writer who was right there) at the process behind getting a design from the drawing board to the assembly line.

Bonus: Appearances by HUGE bigwigs (like Steve Jobs & Bezos) who were involved and fans of the project.
