while i like the message being portrayed here, is your buddy actually looking for help? has he opened up to you and asked for advice?

my only concern is, this is probably going to be extremely difficult for him to hear, if he isn't willing or ready. he needs to be WANTING to help himself first, before getting a massive storm of information like this.

think of this like an addict... if they aren't willing to help themselves, they aren't going to make the changes and constantly fall back into their problem.

i think you should bring up small talk to feel him out before unloading something like this on a plate in front of him. if he is depressed enough, reading this deep cold hearted truth too soon could make it harder for him and could jeopardize a friendship. at the end of the day, you know him best and probably know what he can/cant take.

unfortunately, in my opinion, people need to experience the pain and healing on their own in order to better prepare themselves and work it out. then once he gets past this stage in his life, maybe he will come to the realization he needs to change (like all of us here in RP) and start the process of bettering himself

100% she was “seeing” other guys before that; most likely within a week of dumping you. She was cuddling up to other dudes at a party you were both at, a week after she dumped you. DO NOT try and rationalize her behavior. She had already replaced you. At the very least, she was trying to show she was a “better person who “moved on”.

Why the fuck would you remind him of this shit. He needs to forget about her not think of her getting railed by another dude. Take him out for a couple beers and hit on a few girls if you want to help him. Don't give him a note that reminds him how much of a pussy he is.

I've never understood the entire "letter" concept. Is it a "Hail Mary" pass by which the Beta thinks his girl might "realize" what she's giving up? Is it to make her feel bad? Because it's not going to do either of those things. The best thing to do is to move on.
