I've discovered that it completely kills my desire to pursue women in real life, so for me it's pretty clear cut. If you get used to nutting to porn you'll find it difficult to nut to something that's not porn. Humans are creatures of habit.

When it becomes addictive is the real problem. Your brain starts to have unreal expectations for girls you meet, or you think you're already satisfied by watching it, so you don't try anymore. Also it doesn't require any work, so you can easily always get your fix, without the fear of rejection. I definitely to hit girls up more when I haven't, and it helps my energy levels. I think rubbing one off every once in a while is fine, but when you associate these unrealistic images constantly with having to get off, that's when you can start to have problems.

I was a heavy porn user a year ago. Porn fucks up your libido and dopamine receptors, and on top of that it can cause erectile dysfunction. After you quit just porn, not masturbation, in a while your libido goes back to normal, and sex becomes more enjoyable, no ed problems (unless something else is the cause). The most important thing is, if you limit masturbation to 3 times a week, you will also be more inclined to approach girls. Hope this helps.

It's instant gratification. It not only kills the desire to pursue woman, it kills your desire to persue other things in life aswell. Your brain thinks you already have all the girls in the world when clicking on all those videos. At the end of the day your dopamine receptors are fried from supernormal stumuli which throws away all your motivation. The dopamine is basically what drives you to survive (eat, work, meet people and socialize etc.)

Try to give up porn for a month+ and see how you feel. It's like Pascal's wager: If you gain, you gain all; if you lose, you lose nothing. Think about it, what is there to loose?

That porn would blow off steam is not true. It's just your brain craving porn. Masturbating to blow off steam could be true. Just imagine a person who never used porn. They won't get home after a long day and think "Oh man, i'd really like to watch some porn and rub one out."

Its a subjective issue that applies to most of us, but not all. If you dont see any negative effects then by all means, do you.

Ive suffered from e.d, and an almost addiction like habit of porn. I cant jack off one day and be cool the next, i NEED to jack off to porn, therefore losing self control. This is not a healthy behaviour as i try to be the most succesful,healthy,powerful man i aspire to be. So is it really bad? To me, yes. Its totally up to you.

Keeping it real, jerking it to porn doesn't change a thing for me. I beat it twice yesterday and fucked a plate real good that night.
