Lately I've been having a bit of trouble with flaking. I've been around TRP long enough to know when a girl is probably going to flake-out on a date (it is pretty obvious usually). However, I haven't figured out how I should handle this.

In the past, I've considered "preemptively flaking," which basically means I will flake before she gets a chance to. My logic behind this is that the "flaker" always seems to have more power than the person they flaked on. I always want to make it known to these women that I actually do have other shit going on. When a woman flakes on you, it's pretty beta to say something like "That's cool, I have X other things I need to do anyway," even if it's the truth. By preemptively flaking, I feel like I can send that message without sounding like a butthurt beta.

I guess my question is this: Do I let things play out with a girl, even though I am fairly certain (75% or more confident) that she will flake? Or do I flake first? Will cancelling a date on a girl put me in a better/worse/neutral position with her, as opposed to her cancelling on me?
