For years, during my BP days, I would do my wife's business accounting, which take a lot of time and effort, for maybe a verbal "thank you, I appreciate you helping me out" as a return on my investment. For years, I did stuff like this under the BP mentality much to my resentment.

Since swallowing TRP, things that would have normally done during my shitty BP days, I won't/don't want to do anymore and I'm happier for it.

And one of those things are her business taxes. I've stopped doing the general accounting already.

I'm, currently, on the path to better myself, and trying and get my marriage back on track (or derail it depending on the circumstances). While I do understand that maintaining a marriage is a balance of AF/BB mentalities, I'm torn on what do about the whole taxes dilemma.

Her business is in serious financial trouble. She can't afford an accountant to hire to do this job and it needs to be done. I certainly will not fork over money to get this done seeing that her business is a money pit and my resources are also limited to only the basic necessities. I'll need this information eventually, for next year when it comes time to filing.

What would you do?

Suck it up and do it (ugh) or tell her do deal with it herself?
