I'm not a fan of doing this, just because even though you might get a short term gain, (looking like you bailed and not her) she still bailed. And you're going to look like a flake now, not her. So zero benefit. No hamster spinner. No soft next. Just arrange another meet.

Personally I don't think it really matters.

She was never interested / attracted enough to actually meet up with you.

I don't think she will really care. Probably too busy with other guys. I wouldn't waste any further time on girls like this.

You would be much better off using this energy on other women.

Meh. If I respond to a flake it's usually just "cool". Then I go about my business, soft next until her message includes logistics. If the messages never do, then it never happens. Which is fine.

Plenty of girls out there will make you the priority. Don't need to waste time on those who don't, won't, or can't. "Not my problem if their life really is that hectic, just means we're not compatible because that's not what makes me happy."

I've done this. But I've done it slightly differently.

She flakes..I text 15 minutes after the appointed time and say "Hey I just got this...If we meet up again you're buying the first round..."

That always leads to instant shame, guilt and many times a new meet up time.

if it doesn't I shows you weren't upset but makes the point clear.

And of course...I didn't go to the appointed meeting place. That's my way of fucking with her hamster.
