A girl I was talking to you for awhile give you some advice on this that I actually do trust. She said it isn't that there's one style it's better than another precisely... But that the style ought to go with the rest of your look. If you are usually a metrosexual thin tall clean cut clean shaven guy, then go with shaved body hair.

But if you're a lumberjack look, flannel shirts, jeans, work boots, beard etc... Then leave the body hair fluffy.

Do you. I used to shave my chest but stopped about 7 years ago because it's a lot more masculine and easier on the upkeep. If I grew a rats nest I would clip it to a shorter length but not all the way. Frankly I have never had a women say one way or the other. Just keep yourself clean.

It depends on the woman. Generalizing broadly, women into fitness are more used to, and some prefer, the shaved look. Women who aren't avid gym-goers often prefer the hairy chest look. I've overheard some say that the shaved look is gay. But these are just generalizations; you'll find women's preferences vary. Just go with the look that you like best. Since you don't like shaving, don't do it.
