I'll try to keep this as brief as possible. Late Friday afternoon, my manager (IT PMs for a legacy brand) pulls me into her office to talk about an incident that completely blindsided me.

She (~28) has been out on maternity leave for the last two months and I (29) have been brought it for her and will be there for at least the next 4 months. I'm known to be playfully silly but nothing that would come close to unprofessional.

She asked me if there have been any issues with (lets call her Rosa) that I can think of. Rosa and I had one disagreement about a project task, but that had been long resolved and hadn't even resulted in an argument in the midst of it. I recanted that story and am blindsided by my manager telling me that Rosa is essentially suffering from PTSD from this a different incident that occurred during a project review meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting in question, I looked over and Rosa (~50, Russian) was staring at me. I said something like "Rosa you're staring daggers at me....scaring me" with a joking tone. About half the people in the room laughed (including Rosa) and one said "Rosa always stares daggers". Meeting concluded with no issue and directly after, on my way back to my desk, I stopped, crouched, and stared at Rosa (clearly continuing the joke). She looked up, laughed, and waived me off with her hand. We had not had much interaction since then because she doesn't have much project work. Yesterday, she turned the corner in a hallway just as I was turning it and we were face to face for a second. I did a spin move (being silly), didn't touch her or anything like that, just a spin move and went to my desk. I also did a spin move, because I felt on good terms with her and didn't feel any malice between us at all."

An hour later, my manager was explaining to me how Rosa and three other older women (~60, ~45, ~45) (including the one who said "Rosa always stares daggers"), who have all been working together for 10+ years thought my "callout" of her in our meeting was "aggressive" and Rosa felt "threatened".....the incident directly after (staring at her at her desk..that she laughed at) was also an "aggressive act, and the spin move that happened 2 weeks later after not really interacting at all, was me "jumping at her" and making an "aggressive" move towards her, which caused her to almost breakdown and cry.........

I'm not some autist. I feel like I'm pretty damn measured in my communication and familiarity. I take cues, and feedback and have certainly made an error in judgement before, but this is so insane to me. There's nothing about my behavior I would've changed besides avoiding her entirely. My manager is on my side and told me Rosa has had EQ lacking arguments with people before and the CIO loves me, but still.

Rosa's manager waited over 2 weeks until my manager came back, to tell her and have her address this issue instead of coming to me, thus allowing Rosa to interact with me in at least 1-2 instance, and causing her more trauma.

Rosa's account of things is so absurd to me that my first reaction was pure cynicism because I cant possibly imagine anybody reacting that way under any circumstance. But now, even with my manager on my side, we're going to have a sit down with me, my manager, Rosa, her manager, and the CIO to discuss the matter.

Just wanted to get opinions on how I should handle the meeting or if there's any other feedback, it's highly welcomed.
