You just saw her, why do you need to text her? Did you make plans for a second date? If you did, wait until that day to talk logistics, if you didn't after a few days set one up. Then ignore her until the day or the day before and text purely for logistics.

Typically, if you didn't have sex on the first date but built a lot of sexual tension, it's a good practice to walk away from your first date with your second date planned, and for that second date to be within a week of your first date. Since you built a lot of sexual tension, she'll be excited to see you again soon.

If you didn't build any sexual tension and just sat and talked over coffee for a few hours, like friends do, without any significant escalation, she probably won't want a second date. When you ask, she'll tell you she wasn't feeling it and just wants to be friends. Or just ignore your request.

But if she liked you and you're cute, maybe she'll get stuck in her head and think that the reason you didn't escalate was because she wasn't impressive enough instead of you fucking up the date. In which case, you should stay in touch and ask her on a second date in a few days.

Typically, after I finish a first date with a girl, if I walk away without date #2 planned, it means I don't want to see her again. I text her when I get home and tell her it was good meeting her and I'll text her again some time, then I just don't. If it's a girl I'm seeing again, I text her when I get home and tell her I'm looking forward to next Thursday, or whatever day our next date is.

definitely not do that. no “lol’s” or “hahas” dont even mention anything of having a great time, that’s validating her, you want her to wonder what the fuck you’re thinking.

wait 4-5 days, text her see hows she’s doing, and then set up the next date. you texting her like a friend is going to get you the exact opposite outcome youre hoping for
