It's counter intuitive to plan ahead. It will only push you back in your head which is really bad if you can't pull yourself out of it with ease.

By "being in your head", I mean constantly thinking of what to say next, how to respond, what other "interesting" topic to bring up and so on, instead of simply BEING there. That state is transferable to the girl.

And following the above principle (emotions are transferable), you should ONLY do and talk about things that amuse you. Be completely self-amused and she will follow and fall into your reality.

In the end it's not about the shit you talk about but HOW you talk about that shit.

Make fun of her and yourself. Don't take anything seriously, including yourself.
Keep all conversations light and playful, never go into deep psychological subjects. That's for later and for your bros.
Make her feel something. By something I mean ANYTHING other than boredom. Make her sad, make her angry, make her happy, make her laugh, then make her angry again.
Don't be a afraid to be bold. Always be too bold than too little. Call her a bitch in a semi-playful semi-serious manner and hold your frame. Then call her a beautiful and unique slowflake, sarcastically.
The only subject I would suggest actually discussing is the difference between males and females. That shit ALWAYS gets them going. Then you can easily drop some preselection within the subject. "I swear, some girls are so fucking stupid... I mean, I'm talking to girls that are over 26 years old and they can barely hold a conversation... there was this one girl that didn't know what ovaries are.. she WAS FUCKING 27" She'll then subconsciously will try to validate herself so that she's not like "the others" and whenever there's a dead spot in the conversation she'll try to fill it thinking that maybe it's her fault.

With more dates, you will start to see the same damn patterns in each girl. They are ALL attracted to basically the same shit more or less. In time you will develop like an "auto-pilot" mentality where you just drift through the date like you've already had it a thousand times.

I have a friend who goes of TONS of dates. Most of the time he can't even remember to tell me what he talked about on the date. He internalized all the crap he talks about so well that he doesn't even know he's talking about it. He can go on a 2 hour date without a single word of silence or boredom.. yet, he can't remember anything specific that he talked about. That's being out of your head.

She doesn't care about you. She cares about your social stature and your ability with women. Demonstrate comfort, non-defensiveness, maybe a bit of worldly knowledge (experience), and willingness to call her on her shit. Let the details bleed through--who your exs were, how many siblings, past jobs, but only and barely enough to nullify the "I don't even know you" argument.

You're not there to make her like you. You're there to enjoy yourself.

If you're actually looking for decent conversation topics, get inspiration from listening to people talk when they're high.

Dude was a professor of rhetoric, which is no longer taught in our universities. He says, if you can't think of anything to write about, get more specific. You're writing about America? Well, narrow it down to your state. Can't think of anything about your state? What about your city? Can't think of anything about your city? How about the blades of grass in front of you where you're sitting?

My god, I've seen so many people asking this same question. Here's a solution: stop being a boring fuck. Become an interesting person. Date an interesting girl.

What would be boring things you talk about?

If this is a first date, and you guys don't really know each other, I'd go easy with basic questions aimed to get to know your date. Be a good listener, heed the feedback your date is giving you ex(im)plicitly, and go from there.
