I usually wait until a opportunity comes up to propose a date and then ask if they got whatsapp and then ask for the number. Much more plausible trail of conversation.

In your case it should have been really easy to frame the conversation to be able to propose a date with just one more line.

I usually just ask were she lives, sometimes talk about something to gauge if she's interested and then ask for her number. I literally message half of what you did almost every time, then I talk a little on text and ask her out.

Yes. You've literally said two things to her. You had her playing along, you should push that a little more to build your SMV (by displaying witt, intelligence, showing you're fun and confident, etc.).

Next, don't ask for their number. After you've built a small level or rapport and attraction, say something like, "You can text me if you promise to not be too crazy" or something like that. Then in the next message, before they even can replay, give them your number. I'd say it works about 75% of the time.

Maybe this was a shit test, but from what I see you did ask way too soon. It came off as desperate to get her number and go out with her. You didn't do any screening. Her profile was blank, so you know nothing about her, yet you trust her with your number after some easily googleable pickup line. I would've chatted back and forth for a little bit, find out at least something about her, then say "let's exchange numbers". But since you've already asked for her number, you're committed, so I would say from here to message something like "I'm a straight shooter, I swiped right on you, and I am interested in exchanging phone numbers."
