There's nothing intrinsically wrong with glasses at all. As long as you're looking good, strong, and confident the glasses mean nothing and I like to think might even help you open a certain type of girl. Obviously you want to get a pair that looks good on you, that you're comfortable with, and don't let them be an excuse!

Why not use it to your advantage?

Dress well and use you glasses like if they where a nice accessory.

If you can afford it buy hipster looking glasses, and contacts. And whatever other styles you like, try to find that type of guy you want to be.

Add muscles, RP attitude, game and a hint of tattoo to the mix and you can cook your self some moist panties.

As a corollary to the other responses, your prescription is also a factor.

I have really poor vision, so when wearing glasses my eyes look 2x smaller. At that point it's not an issue of glasses vs no glasses but rather facial proportions.

I get much more interest when wearing contacts.

In addition to the fear of looking too nerdy, you're possibly feeling off because your self-image involves a face without glasses and you're now presenting a face with glasses.

There are upsides to glasses: they're an extra prop that you can play with (glasses swaps are fun, especially if someone's got a weird prescription) and an extra thing you can use to control your appearance.

Unless you carry a pocket protector, you'll be fine. As everyone else is saying: dress well, look after yourself and don't worry too much.

Whatever you do, own it.

I think I look better with my glasses on, I don't have the most attractive lower eyelids and the glasses kind of hide it.

I was at swing dancing lessons and a girl told me I looked smart in my glasses. I'm twice her age and still got a complement.

I used the ladies in the eye doctors office to pick a good style for me.

I don't see any real downside to having them.

Glasses can add some badassery to your looks, if shaded.

That being said, it's way better to not be forced to wear them every hour of every day. I was born with shit vision and wore glasses for 23 years. Two months ago got LASIK done, and guess what. I'm an idiot for not doing it 10 years earlier. It's an immense improvement in quality of life.

Imagine 2 guys who are exactly the same in every way apart from one guy has to wear glasses all the time. The one wearing glasses will be perceived to be less attractive by everyone who matters. It displays undesirable genetic weakness and in some cases lack of social intelligence. Get contacts or LASIK.

This is why people who wear glasses for 'fashion' can be seen as attractive because they don't need them thus not showing genetic weakness while showing social intelligence. Clark Kent is perceived to be attractive with glasses because he doesn't need them.

However, some girls actively prefer guys who need and wear glasses but that is just a beta bucks phenomenon.

This has nothing to do with fashion, but why don't you get contacts instead? You put them in and forget them, no expensive glasses that hinder your lifestyle because they might break, perfect vision in your whole field of view. Much better.

I suggest you get contacts for now and get LASIK done whenever you are ready. Glasses can definitely affect your game, and as a guy who changes between contacts and glasses all the time due to health reasons, I notice the same difference.

Glasses are more comfortable, and I usually wear glasses at school where I don't really give a fuck how I look, and wear contacts for social occasions. Hope that helps.
