TRP kind of kills you on the inside...I used to have the brain of a child as BP. Now it's more serious, all about delayed gratification, inner game, social calibration/awareness, and most of all, realism (bordering on pessimism). I've passed the anger stage, I completely accept the world as is, very little surprises me. But I've definitely lost the ability to open up and connect on a deep romantic level. Which is perfect. Wouldn't have it any other way.

You do need to take everything with a grain of salt, you'll learn to recognize what's good and what's not. There are a lot of harsh truths, and you benefit greatly from understanding them. There are however, a handful of really angry people who aren't thinking things through fully and may post things which are pointlessly abrasive. Every now and then you might hear someone calling to kill all fatties, or rape women, or whatever. Not often, and rarely so extreme, but remember that violence, and breaking the law will get you nowhere. Being blinded by hate will get you nowhere. Be careful not to embitter yourself or being prejudiced against any group - you can create new generalizations and assumptions, but everyone has different characteristics and despite things like AWALT you shouldn't assume that every girlfriend you have is cuckolding you with six other men.

Expect partial to complete demotivation as you restructure your life with the new information you gain. Anything in your life built to honor a pussy on a pedastal is subject to abandonment. For example, that job you took to one day support a family - you probably don't want it anymore since marriage is such a reckless choice.

I think some people who are in the middle of an LTR when they find TRP wreck their relationship because the woman freaks out over the power shift and starts shit testing like crazy. The man, being a new RPer, crumbles under the shit tests due to inexperience, and the relationship goes straight to hell shortly after.
