Plate? Good for the man. You get the sex that you want without giving away your commitment, can walk in and out as you please. From what you described seems like a "plate with more emotional attachment", so seems fine.

"Open Relationship", especially if she lives with you? Fuck no. You are the one paying the high price here, dealing with her women problems, family problems, providing, emotinal support, PMS, drama etc. while Chad just fucks the shit out of her and sends her back to her safe BB at home. No, not worht it.

Depends on what type of person you are. I personally wouldn't enjoy sex with my gf if I knew she probably got facefucked by Tyrone Thundercock the day before. If you don't give a fuck then go for it, but if you feel bad about it you should dump her

I wouldn't care as well. In your case it would be close to a soft-next from exclusive LTR to either FWB (that's probably what you want) or plate. Co-dependency is a bad thing btw. and forbidden according to TRP rules. I had the same co-dependency and this yielded essential problems during the breakup. Try to build your own independent life, social circle, hobbies and so on. It also is the intial part of dread game and might lead to less 'cheating' by your FWB.

Polyamory is a type of non-monogamy where the parties involved have open and honest communication about what's going on. Likewise, there are a ton of different types of polyamory. Some of them are RP compatible, and some aren't. There are also other forms of non-monogamy that do not fall under polyamory where some are RP compatible and some aren't. Regardless of your RP mindset, there are pros and cons to each, which is somewhat outside of the scope of what you're asking, but probably worth looking into for you personally.

The key thing that RP is concerned about is losing out on the game of providing resources/comfort and receiving sex/other benefits. You don't want to be paying for her bills while she fucks other dudes and you get treated like shit.

I am in a relationship that falls under the polyamory label as well. I have a fiancee, and we have a girlfriend, and we've lived together for years. None of us have sex with people outside of the household. It's atypical, but it falls well within the bounds of "winning the game" in terms of RP theory.

Your arrangement will never trigger her alerts, she's engaged on her optimal sexual strategy, she's dual mating.

It's not the same for you though. While you're also engaged on your optimal sexual strategy and free from the angst of ignoring the polygamist calls, the arrangement is bound to trigger a few defense mechanisms you have. And it'll suck a lot when it does.

I suppose you'll be ok as long as, when it happens, you don't fall for the temptation of trying to keep her, because you'll want it above everything when it happens. Rest assured it'll hurt you though, but the meanwhile might be worth the inevitable end.

Off course, everyday plate advice fits. Don't get her pregnant, use condoms, wada wada.

Personally I guess I'd avoid the "bonded plate" thing. I had those circuits triggered as proxies and unfortunately I'm obsessive, so I didn't call it quits. FUCK, I took a lot of damage. Now, even being shielded from the blow by awareness, I'd rather just not taking it.

I firmly believe that polyamory is a sexual orientation just like being gay or straight. I'm a naturally polyamorous person myself. Your story is similar to mine. My wife and I were both cheating on each other and caught each other (actually, she caught me first and just never said anything about it until I started to suspect her). Long story short we did pretty much what you did, we figured we just weren't capable of monogamy and agreed to an open marriage.

A lot of people on TRP will tell you this is unnatural for men to be ok with their women fucking other men, and if you are, then you're a beta/pussy/cuck. I agree it's probably unnatural for most men, but definitely not all. You can just as alpha in an open relationship as the next guy. As long as you're not letting her dictate some kind of one-sided double standard, and you have the outcome independence to not get butthurt about it, then it can work out great.
