Tl;dr: Read what's in bold
LTR and I have been together for 1.5 years.
Lately there's been some implicit tension for absolutely no reason and I want help dealing with this crap. She's usually a very secretive person when it comes to her emotions/feelings/thoughts so it is EXTREMELY hard to communicate. She admits she is incapable of communicating properly. I feel as if she is scared of letting too much out (insecurity?)
Last week, she was very affectionate and cuddly and even horny. But when I saw her the next day she was acting rude, cold, distant. Just your usual woman's fluctuating cycle of emotions bullshit. I straight up asked her if something was wrong, and noticed that the question made her uncomfortable.
This week, there's been implicit tension between us and me being a guy I absolutely hate implicit mind games/tension/drama. I don't have the energy nor the time for this bullcrap and I would like to confront her about it. She has been acting extremely bitchy towards me, to the point where she called me "kiddo", "baby" (jokingly, I passed the shit test though) and then "insecure" but this time a bit more seriously. I called her out, told her I will not tolerate this behavior from her, she apologized and gave me some sort of ritual silent treatment she does after we argue.
Only today we were speaking on the phone, things seemed like they cooled down a bit, she's still acting negative towards me and everytime I make an affirmation of any sort to start an interesting conversation, she HAS to find a way to disagree with me or to say something that opposes what I say, with the most bitchy tone ever. What the fuck? I usually ignore when she does that, but it's starting to get passed my temper and patience, it's extremely rude coming from my own LTR.
Finally, as we were talking, in an attempt to make the conversation a little more light and less serious, I jokingly asked her "so what was that thing that I tell you and that turns you on so much?" (she admit to me that there was this word that I call her that turns her on a lot). This was simple small talk, just wanted to lighten to mood. Well, she refuses to tell me what it was, but to a point where it seems like my question ACTUALLY pissed her off for some reason. She was borderline disgusted by my question. I don't even understand that part, I'm sorry TRP, someone's gonna have to explain this to me.
I teased her about it some more (how about my turn to shit test the fuck out of her now), she gets even more pissed and says "stop asking so many questions, this is more than just curious, if I tell you it will kill the value of it, you always wanna be in control of everything, you don't say these types of things to your boyfriend", etcetc. Damn did she take it the wrong way, though. I understand there has to be some sort of attraction and mystery going on, but I'm not that type of guy. I don't tolerate this.
She is basically admitting that she ABSOLUTELY NEEDS to be in control, that she doesn't want me to know how she thinks or feels, that I cannot be in control, and she is that by not letting me know, she is somehow manipulating me and getting what she wants out of me/controlling my words without telling me how. And of course, I don't like that, by my own nature.
As her LTR, I am curious on how she thinks and what she finds "attractive" in my words and what turned her on, it would only do good to the relationship, so I had good intentions since this would only make the relationship better. I was not intending to cause drama over such a small thing. I also feel like she's a bit too crazy about the implicit and the things "you shouldn't say", which explains why she is so secretive about her emotions.
But that bothers me because I like solving problems the straightforward way, I like communcation. She doesn't, she deflects/avoid problems and I find it very immature. Even though that was a small deal, it bothers me: her attitude about smaller things reflects her general philosophy about life and it's way too primitive, secretive, implicit and borderline manipulative for me.
I have my own morals in LTRs and usually if I ask something like that I expect an answer, not for her to disrespect me even more about it.
Seeing all these previous events, any advice? Can someone also analyze that last part for me, her response to my question? What does it mean and how should I take it?
