Do you wait longer or address it immediately?

Wait a day and respond with a simple "Ok". She knows what she did; let her sweat it out a bit. If you validate that you're not angry right away then she got off the hook too easily. When she texts you asking if you're mad, etc just ignore those comments, tell her you're busy with something "ttyl", or change the topic. It's good you're not actually angry so don't bring it up, ever. It doesn't matter to you. The less disappointed you are, the harder she comes right back.

how do you usually handle women knowing about big events and flaking?

For big events I typically NEVER schedule it without a backup plan; whether that be going and inviting someone else or going with her and a few friends (if she doesn't go it doesn't matter I got other people).

How do I handle it after the fact? Well if it's genuine and I figure she really likes me then I give her another chance. If it smells like bullshit I usually don't reinitiate texting and soft next her. Usually if you did a good job gaming her then she'll hit you up a week later wondering where you are. Game on.

She showed you how little she respects you by cancelling on you.

If you want to keep seeing this girl then you need to earn her respect by having her earn your respect.

Soft next
Act like it never happened; an alpha male lives his life and always has a good time without relying on others
Put her on probation; one more showing of disrepect and it's a hard next

Dude. You need to recognize what more than likely happened here.

This chick got a better offer, and blew you off. It's very likely she went off somewhere with someone she thinks is a bigger, better deal.

But, now, she failed to get him to commit to her, or it's still sort of vague and so she's going to come back to you as her back up plan and keep you on deck.

Go ahead and keep on working her as best you can, but recognize what is more than likely going on here, and don't let yourself get silly, thinking she's worth more or is better than she really is.

Just think of her as practice, and go and practice. All this obsession about time frames suggests you're already getting a little hung up on her. Don't be.

Go out and holler at three more bitches and try and get them spinning too.

Answering with just an "Ok.", to me, comes off as pissy and she'll assume you're mad anyway.

"Not a problem (name)". Using her name makes the text more personal, she'll unconsciously appreciate it. That's it, it's a bit more wordy, but it really exemplifies outcome independence and lets her know that you really AREN'T angry. She'll also realize that, whether she wants to hang or not, you're fine either way (OI). Don't say ANYTHING after that, if she's really interested, she'll let you know.
