This woman in my facebook circle posted this situation (she's 30ish, not some like 12 y/o): She went for a run on a local paved trail in the city. She came across 2 men wearing khaki pants and white sneakers. One guy was on the phone. She ran past and shortly came upon 2 more men in similar outfits, and again one was on his phone. They must have been talking to each other and conspiring her abduction! She freaked out, ran off the trail and escaped certain rape or murder and reported it to police!

Dozens of people responded to her post, glad she was ok, and she dodged a bullet etc. I wrote, sounds like a couple guys from a nearby business were out on a smoke break. I also noted it was likely more dangerous running away through a section of large rocks where she could have fallen and hit her head.

Whewww I was swarmed upon by white knights and several of her friends. Afterall "a woman's intuition is always right". My profession was attacked, I was a douchebag, I was likely one of the guys with white sneakers, and hopefully, God hopefully, I didn't have daughters of my own.

Anyway what bothers me is how this relates to #MeToo type thinking. Every guy is a rapist and all it takes to be accused of such is to be walking on the same public trail as a woman who's watched too many crime shows on TV.
