I had a friend point out that putting a bunch of cream and sugar in your coffee makes you look like a wuss.

It got me thinking about adult beverages too. How do you command respect and and assert dominance with a little umbrella sticking out of your mildly alcoholic fruit cocktail?

What are some drinks I can train my palate on that are manly but still palatable?

P.S. After much agonizing, I'm beginning to appreciate straight whiskey but it's still rough.
