I recently switched my old job for a new one in a very serious company, I'm a 26 year old guy fresh out of college and in the construction sector, I did ok in my old job but being in construction means I often have to deal with men twice my age and with more experience than me, and mostly blue collar. My old boss was a very RP dude, showed me the ropes but when I left he gave me one piece of advice,

"you need to develop a strong character, you don't have one and you're going to need it for the future, that's all I can say to you kid"

That is one of my strongest weaknesses, now my new job has an approximate entry date of March but they did tell me that I would be in charge of a small crew of 5 men and I would be their superior. That this was a good job to learn and grow but I would need to have a very strong character and good leadership skills in order to get respected. I'm a pretty large guy and even though I lift I tend to be a wimp and avoid confrontation like the plague, I can't afford to do that anymore

Most people tell me that comes with experience at first it's not going to be so easy but still, I have a month of free time, I figured I could use it to find some good book or resources to develop a strong frame or at least something in order to learn how to be respected.

Now I'm new to this whole RP thing so it should be no surprise the amount of beta background that I have, I'm a little bit intimidated by this job because I lack that skill but at the same time I'm excited because its the perfect oportunity to learn it, the only thing I've read is No More Mr Nice Guy which was great, but if you could point me out to other resources or give me some tips I would appreciate it
