Personally, I never let her enter the number in to my phone.

When you get a girl's number, enter it in to your phone yourself. Then, repeat the number back to her, but intentionally get one digit wrong. If she doesn't correct you on the wrong digit, then that means she's giving you a fake number.

It's a great way to weed out the girls who are serious from the ones playing childish games. Plus, you get the fun of watching her jaw drop to the floor if you call her out on giving you a fake number.
