West Africans typically don't exhibit these feelings as much, and they tend to follow [r-selection] breeding patterns, whereas Northern Europeans tend to more closely follow [K-selection] breeding. In West Africa the poke-n-run routine is the norm, with children being raised by large groups of friends. Survival rate is much lower, as is excellence in life, but there are so many children being created that the population continues to grow, albeit slower than other areas of the world.

It is well known that children with 2 stable, long-lasting parents have a better chance of excelling in life. Living in Northern Europe during an ice-age would have magnified this tendency.

Families where the man sticked around during women's pregnancy had a higher chance of survival. This resulted in men, having evolutionary the capacity for unconditional love. The reason you exist now, is because your ansestors, had been always taking care of the needs of the family along with their own. And that is why men are suited to be more capable leaders in the family than women.

Onetis is a perverse version of that love, where you attach the noble traits found in your parents to the person you love. It has resulted due to the absence of a proper father figure, and an unrealistic notion that all of us are capable of this unconditional love.

This is just a guess but I'm thinking that since you don't necesarily get a woman pregnant on the first try it might be a solution for getting two people to try multiple times thus enhancing the chance of a pregnancy occuring.
