So, about a week ago my girlfriend of 4 years broke up with me. For all of that time I was really beta. No dates or fancy anything, save for holidays and anniversaries. We started when we were both 14 year old myspace weeaboos and we lost our virginities to each other. Sex was good but usually pretty vanilla. I grew content and relaxed in an easy relationship and didn't try very hard. I've always had trouble with academics and only started driving when I turned 18 and got my first job October of last year. I later quit because it was for family I didn't care for and have been searching since.

Throughout our relationship her interest would wander to other guys I would have to fend off every once in a while. She never cheated on me, it was more of hanging out with them a lot and obsessing over them some. I'd try my best to snuff it out when it happened but this last time wasn't enough. We had already been at ends with my troubles I brought to the relationship in the form of not going out and doing stuff, not having a job, playing lots of video games etc.

Over the last month of our relationship I kept hearing about her math tutor Brandon from the Community College she attends (I will be soon) and I picked up on it being another one of THOSE guys immediately. I confronted her about it a few days after we had a big talk about how I need to pull myself up and into adulthood. She told me I was right and that it wasn't fair to me that she was doing that and broke up with me on the spot. I was really fucked up for a few days after and sort of wallowed in bed. I decided I wanted really bad to get her back and be that guy who takes her on awesome dates and is super outgoing. I wanted to be that guy anyway.

Amongst my grief some bros were trying to make me feel better, to no avail. Until one of them mentioned the Red Pill and suggest I read the sidebar, as well as sort of analyzing my situation. It made a lot of sense and it matched up with a lot of the small plan I had already to try and win her back. I printed off a bunch of resumes and cover letters and went to businesses all around to find work. I have an interview coming up now. I took the accuplacer so I can start classes in the spring quarter. Just started getting my shit together real fast. In my grief after the break up I talked to her a lot. She insisted she still cared about me a lot and wanted to be friends because she was pretty upset about it too. I showed a lot of weakness in this time. After that weakness and asking her if there was a chance of us getting back together in the future all I would get is "Anything is possible, but it wouldn't be for awhile." She's hanging out with this Brandon guy who lives a town away to awful hours of the night. She said she wouldn't jump straight into a new relationship but I'm positive she's fooling around with him.

I want your guys' advice on how I should go about getting her back. I've pretty much got my shit together and have been a lot more alpha then I ever have, and this other guy is not. His life is in more disrepair than mine and he's been sort of a jerk to her but she still chooses to spend al to of time with him. I’m slated to hang out with her monday and was wondering what I should do or how I should act. I’ve been trying to be really tough and not give a fuck but it’s really hard.
