Why are tattoos/drinking red flags?

Take this with a grain of salt.

Tattoos were originally a sign for rebellion against society. It was masculine and went against the social norm of Puritan times. Rebels, rockers, criminals etc. You also had men use it to display commitment to brotherhood or ideals.

Since then it's become a form of expression with people getting all sorts of tats. You have people in line to get ink commemorating a fallen brother in service next to someone who was a tattoo of Bender smoking a cigar because Bender is funny.

When it comes to women, the overwhelming majority have stupid tattoos with no intrinsic meaning. "I like trees so I got a cherry tree tattoo" or "it looked pretty" seem to be the pattern. Out of the hundreds of women I've dated, I can count on my hand the times there was a profound and deep meaning.

Guys do this too these days but I'm assuming that you're not looking to fuck dudes so I am not touching that.

If anyone wants to weigh in on this they can.

As for drinking. Again, nothing wrong with a woman that drinks. The problem is if she has too drink or how much she drinks. If you need to drink then there's a cause underlying that effect. Also alcohol is a great way for women to hamster any reason. "I was drunk and he took out his dick and I don't normally do this but I was drunk and you must hate me but it was the alcohol that made me fuck him".

Now, don't be stupid. The side bar is a set of guidelines. You can find a "good" girl that doesn't drink and has no ink but she'll cut off your dick while you sleep or you can LTR a woman that can drink you under the table with a sexy sleeve and a N count of 2.

I see the younger dudes have push back on tattoos every time its mentioned, maybe because its been normalized their entire lives that they cant see how it is.. When tats started getting popular in late 90s/early 00s we used to laugh at chicks getting "tramp stamps" now these dudes grow up with women getting full sleeves and face tats and wonder why its a red flag..

Tattoos and excessive drinking are signs of impulsive behaviour.

If they are impulsive on this, they probably are impulsive in other aspects (sex) as well.

Impulsive women are not good LTR prospects.

Tattoos are essentially self mutilation for attention. A small one is not a deal breaker, but a lot of tattoos tends to be indicative of self destructive behavior.

If you find the unicorn who’s tatted up and totally mentally stable, more power to you.

Drinking in moderation is fine. Alcoholic level drinking is a red flag for both men and women, because it’s a very destructive habit. And an LTR’s problems tend to become your problems.

Plenty of girls have tattoos and drink and are perfectly normal and fine. Hell, most of this sub is guys just looking for casual sex, so even if the theory was true, it wouldn't be a problem. But it's just poor logic - I know loads of girls in long-term happy relationship (married with kids even) who drink and have tattoos, I know some girls who are just happy playing the field (as most guys on this sub are) who drink and have tattoos.

You need to get out in the real world and learn to distinguish which advice in this sub is just anti-incel common sense designed to help you, and which advice is making you worse.

They will drain your time, energy, money, something... and ruin your life or reputation if you let them.
