I'd guess that women get value from external validation and men get value from internal validation. I'd imagine it comes down to some primal instinct. Women would nest and therefore needed that external validation to be protected and provided for so in that regard they SEEK attention (external validation) as this adds to their overall feelings of being protected/provided for. Whereas men are hunters and gathers by biology so we seek value from the things we do internally.

Women are always trying to get a feel for where they stand. That's why it's important to keep in mind they dont want just any attention. If an uggo dude approaches a hot chick with confidence this will make her feel worse about herself. If the skinny fat orbiter who likes all her selfies likes the next one she doesn't really give a shit about it.

This is why preselection works too. If girls find out a girl that is attractive likes a guy they will be much more likely to also be into that guy because they want to play in her ball park.

Keep in mind any attention a guy gets is almost always going to be the result of hard work. We know where it comes from. Women can get praise for literally not doing anything and they get that praise all the time so it just isnt going to cut it.

I've seen a lot of women put out instagrams centered around fitness. They post selfies almost every day and if you take a selfie from a year ago next to the most recent one almost always there is no difference. Think about that, if a guy did that he would be downright horrified. That would be extremely shameful but women will count on getting 150 likes and "you go girl!"s and they need that constant injection just because their dopamine response to it has been burnt out since age 14.

Because (until very recently) women are unable to provide for themselves. Women were destined to raise children, cook, clean, etc. They didn't need to go out into the wild and hunt. That was the mans job.

Because of this, women desired attention and validation. They need people to care about them and have interest in them. This is why most women have victim mentalities. They need to feel like they are accepted into social groups.

In the past, if a woman's village was destroyed or her man was killed, she'd need to find a new village (social circles) to join. She'd need to be accepted.

If you think about it, all generations before our grandparents for thousands of years lived like this. Women didn't have power, jobs, skills.

This is why society is currently struggling and setting new and new "rules". This is why there are more and more distractions being made like binging TV, staying at home, etc.

But women also do not understand the difference between the girl with a fat ass that gets plated.
