Because it is... depending on your goals. Alpha and Beta aren't archetypes of men, they are sets of behaviors. They are tools that the Red Pilled man use to achieve an end.

Imagine you want to spin plates. Which set of behaviors, or tool, do you think you should predominantly use? Alpha, obviously. Women want to fuck mysterious hot guys (plural intended) who don't commit or invest. Now, imagine you want a wife and the woman you want to marry wants a husband. That woman isn't going to marry an pure Alpha who isn't loyal, who spread his ressources between multiple women and doesn't care to build a "nest" for raising kids. That would be a very risky ordeal for a woman because she doesn't know if her pure alpha husband is going to impregnate another girl and leave her pregnant, poor and defenseless. That's where the Beta tool is needed: a wife or LTR is going to require comfort and ressources.

It's all about knowing your goals and knowing how much to use each tools. The dominant problem in today's society is that men use the beta tool too much because they've been taught exactly this by the single mothers and feminist teachers who raised them. That's why subs like deadbedrooms exist. Also why TRP exists because it wouldn't if there wasn't a massive problem to fix.

Sometimes you have to let a girl know you care about her. If she genuinely thinks you don't care about her and aren't invested in her she's probably not going to stick around. Girls don't really want to be pumped and dumped.

Going full uncaring, uncalibrated alpha-asshat has yielded little results for me. Mix in some anecdotes from your day, joke around a bit, be vulnerable sometimes, be fun to be around. You will have to find the sweet spot for that with trial-and-error. After all, attraction in women is partly conscious, they do appreciate somebody who they can relate to, who makes them feel special.

There are shit Tests and comfort tests.

Girls comfort test after some shit Tests. She wants some comfort before getting close to you after you've built attraction blasting off shit Tests.

If you pass the comfort test giving her a comforting answer you create connection getting you closer.

If you answer the comfort test like a shit test she will back off because you literally provide only attraction and no connection.

This doesn't mean attraction is gone, but connection is killed.

How does one know if it's comfort or shit test? It's all about context and her/your frame. It comes with experience.

Most natural alpha men don't think about these things and they automatically do all these things without having to think.
