Ok, so first I'll respect anyone who politely tells me that they want to be called they/them. Yet I don't understand the offense behind accidentally misgendering someone.

Lately I've been running into people who get seriously angry and give me an attitude when I call them a "ma'am" or a "sir/dude". At my work place and it's happening more frequently.

I think sexism and racism are both real but I don't understand gendering. Women can beautiful. Men can be beautiful. We have THOUSANDS of years of calling women "women" and men "men".

For instance i caught myself in a debate recently with friends and this non binary person was being extremely rude and I accidentally Misgendered them and people literally gasped. After she cussed me out too.
