I simply do it because I tend to get bored with one chick easily and would never walk down the streets with my LTR and not also be attracted to some other hot chick that’s close by.

But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have an LTR some people want to really bond with their spouses if that’s what you want then do it.

Just keep in mind what females do (AWALT)and what might happen in the relationship if you slip up.

A lot of people over-invest in their LTRs, so when the LTR ends, that person feels like a bitter fool. People also take the path of least resistance and become complacent, which obviously manifests itself as stagnation in a relationship.

You can spin plates or do and LTR if you want.

Plating is recommended for a variety of reason.

You can maximise focus on yourself while satisfying your sexual urges.
You're operating the dynamic on your terms.
Then most importantly even if you wanted to LTR you would need to plate first anyway, it's part of the vetting process.

How could you possibly get into an LTR that's likely to succedd if you don't vet a woman to see if she can prove herself to be a good candidate. If she is able to do that competently she may be upgraged to FWB, then LTR.

The largest point however is that in modern day society the reality of most relatonships, is that they don't last. You invest a lot of time and effort, including emotional effort, all for it to fall to rubble.

It's not the 1950's anymore, it's not just you two. You have guys DM'ing, whatsapp, snap chatting your girls daily. You have a meat market social scene where better options are available for her to branchswing. There's her work, college etc.

So ONLY if she can be a great plate, despite all of that, could she even be considered to be an LTR.

Being young, especially, it's better to build yourself and not have your life being steered by a woman. Unless your passion and goals in life include primarily being someone's boyfriend/husband.

Women kill men's dreams. Look that one up. I've literally seen a man quit a job because she wanted to spend more time with him.

You are the prize, but you'll let yourself forget that. You'll allow yourself to be manipulated for pussy. And then when she's broken you, she'll move on. The pain is avoidable (it's her loss) if you maintain abundance mentality by having one or two other girls that you see (have sex with). Build yourself and be the prize and remember, even if you haven't had this proven to you and it's only a conscious self defense mechanism, all women are like that.

They can't help it.
It's just the way the are.

Don't let it make you bitter. And like another commenter said it's just a framework of theory that you can use to better make yourself happy. Being young though and not knowing, per se, what life is about, you might not be the best advocate for your own long term happiness.
