Because most dudes in the anger phase/new to trp still want to believe that they will find mommies love in a woman other than their mother. When they understand hypergamy they realize that the love they are looking for doesn't exist. Even though women and society have been promising it their whole lives. So this pisses dudes off who spent so long believing that lie. Most who stick around here get over it and learn to love women for what they truly are.

Because these men subconsciously believe that hypergamy in women is insurmountable. RP tells men that hypergamy is inevitable and every man will eventually hold the L, but in reality, if you're a top tier man with a dope chick, the possibility of hypergamy becoming an issue is not non existent, but pretty low. Stop being angry with hypergamy and direct that energy to getting your shit together.

Most men are brought up to believe that everyone else is raised to be caring, loyal and grateful for good deeds and kindness so finding out that women are naturally predisposed to betrayal, ingratitude and selfishness is a huge gut punch, we are taught that people know better, take responsibility and that a woman that cheats is just a bad apple when all women have hypergamous traits built into their nature.

Being hot doesn't really equal good genes despite what most people think. Being hot for a girl means having a good waist to hip ratio, which you want for a healthy birth.And having big boobs, which you want to feed your kid. You don't care about her genes, just that ur offspring survive and they are actually yours.

But to answer your question, it's not bad to pick #1, but it is bad to always be picking #1.

If i pick the best toothpaste in 2002, and use it my whole life, thats kinda stupid, toothpaste gets better as time goes on. I don't care about the toothpaste I just want the best, so even tho I started using this toothpaste, i'm going to throw it away and pick the best one every year. You need a girl who doesn't see you as toothpaste, or at least cares about the sentimental value over being more "the best".
