I (19m) went out today with a woman (20) at the beach for most of the day, and I couldn't figure out why she was acting how she was.

Context: for most of the ride down to the beach, she was on her phone texting and Snapchatting, barely talking to me or making eye contact. I essentially asked her to focus on the date and worry about whomever she was texting later, which she did. She became very talkative and started to ask me questions back when I asked her something, but she continued to avoid making eye contact, looking down at her feet, or out of the window(s). When we got to the beach, same story, she was looking down on her feet avoiding eye contact, but she was still receptive to talking like everything was fine.

Any help/advice is appreciated.
