Personally I would think you look like another validation seeking try hard regardless what tattoo you get. But fuck me and what I think.

A local comedian here has a full on Super Mario sleeve. He is about a 5 in looks, but his GF is probably an 7. He is quite alpha and obviously being a quite popular comedian his SMV raises.

What I am trying to say is that if you are an alpha with high SMV girls will just think its attractive (because girls like nerds, as long as your SMV is high).

I think tattoos are beta as fuck UNLESS you’re a member of the Marines, SAS, Yakuza, etc, in which case it’s a warning.

As a previous commenter said, they’re all about validation “Look at me! Look at how cool my tattoo is! It’s a conversation starter!” “Yeah, sick bro! Where’d you get it done? Bla bla”

But hey, if you fought in the Clone Wars and feel a tattoo of a corporate brand defines you, go for it

Get what you want. Number one rule of getting tattoos is work with a very good/known artist and don't skimp on the money. Good tattoos are expensive for a reason. Especially for a project as big as you are talking about. Bad/cheap tattoos are just bad. One of my best friends dropped $4k on his chest and $3k on a sleeve. Both took multiple sessions from a world famous artist, but both look great.

Nowadays, getting tattoos is following the crowd. Regardless of what you get. Shit, even face tattoos have lost their edginess. Get it because YOU want it. Do not expect people to point it out and give you attention.
Invest in a good fucking artist. It doesn’t matter if you have the sickest drawing of all time. If your artist doesn’t know what he’s doing, you’re going to get a tattoo that looks like those popsicles with gum ball eyes that are supposed to look like spongebob but come out deformed. I paid $125 per hour with my artist. I get compliments on the detail of my tat, not the content of it.

Also. Star Wars tattoos would’ve been cool in the 80’s when the first 3 movies came out. Maybe even when the next 3 came out. But keep in mind that Star Wars is owned by Disney now. Getting a tattoo of Star Wars now is like getting a tattoo of buzz lightyear

Not at all. Reading through the comments here, I really don't understand the validation aspect of the argument, although I will say, people who don't have tattoos don't get it in general. People with tattoos don't give a fuck. Whatever you get, as long as it is done well, will be a good tattoo, so spend the money on a good artist and own that shit.
