18M Need advice (preferably links to good posts) regarding improving my game (next to no experience)

After doing game seriously for about 6 months now (still a newbie I'd say), but spending the previous 5 years of my life desperately improving that life, the core principle about game that I have learned can be summarized thus:

Game is not about the girl.

What is game actually about? To summarize the hundreds of hours of practice and dozens of books I've read on the topic, what I've learned is that ultimately you will never get the girl until you don't actually need the girl. Right now, I am so fucking happy with my life and so fulfilled in so many different ways that to me, girls are only icing on the cake. I do not need them to be happy or brimming with confidence.

It's kind of like Maslow's Pyramid of Needs. At the base you have basic human needs, then you have relationships and intimacy (although I would classify those as platonic), esteem needs, and at the very top along with self-actualization is where romantic intimacy, sex, and partnerships belong. The reason they belong here is because when inevitably those things are removed from your life, or if you don't have them to begin with, your pyramid does not crash to the ground. Your life is already so fucking great that it will still be fucking great if the girl ends up dumping you.

You see, men must be the rock upon which women rely. You can be this rock by building great friendships, following your passions, showing people you love them, expressing yourself, and being genuine.

Bro, I have wasted so much of my time trying to make it the other way: get girls first, and then I will have confidence and fulfillment. That is the wrong way to do it, not just because it doesn't work, but because for your own happiness and well-being, you must get your shit together first. Girls are then the reward for being a happy, healthy, loving, passionate, driven man. Everything else is insanity.
