Go to gym, start getting a good physique, forget the girls for now the reality is a short cut is to try and make friends with the frat people because then you have social proof, meaning if the “cool” guys hang out with you therefore it gives you social proof to say you are “cool” to. In all honesty though I am a big advocate on being authentically you however you must know how to play the game. I recommend you YouTube Corey Wayne and listen to his audiobook again and again 10-15 times, it’s a game changer and if you learn the principles at 20 you are set for life my friend. Forget all the gimmick stuff, go gym get your body right, get your fashion on point and learn the game from Corey Wayne and they will come to you trust me.

When I was in college (now 28f), I never hung out at frats or with people that went there. That just wasn’t my scene. Personally, I don’t find the “jacked” look attractive - if you want to gain muscle, do that because it’s what you want. Not because you think girls will like it. Try meeting people that you get along with and have similar interests and the conversation will come. As for flirting with girls, confidence in who you are is a big thing. That to me is incredibly attractive and means a lot more than physical attributes. If you strike up a conversation with a girl, lead her places subtly by touching the small of her back or asking if you can get her a drink (if you’re out). Or try simple compliments. Try starting a conversation by noticing something about her and commenting on it. It sucks for guys because there’s a lot of pressure but start by being confident with you!

The advice I would give to my 20 years old self is: embrace failure.
I know it is painful to hear that right now, but the more you try to approach, make mistakes and get rejected, the better. No amount of internet advice will eliminate the necessity of getting through painful experiences with girls.
By doing this you will not start to connect the dots of what works for you but you will also create some natural resilience related to social situations, and that will make wonders for your game a few years in the future.
Going to the gym or martial arts is also a great way to develop mental and physical toughness, so dive into it if you can as well.

It should not be shocking that the attractive women you are attracted to solely because they are attractive are themselves attracted to attractive people. You sound like you find this unfair, which is hypocritical of you.
The obvious solution is to become attractive yourself. Physically, work with what you have and improve as far as possible. If the girls you desire put work into their diet and exercise, their hair and outfits, then you should, too. Beyond the physical: be an attractive person. That means be interesting, engaging and fun to be around. Improve yourself socially.
The most important thing is: do this not (solely) because it hurts your feelings that the hottest women around you prefer other men over you. Do it for yourself, regardless of women. Do not tie your self worth as a man to the amount of sex or attention you get. Develop better, deeper qualities within yourself in order to become a positive, confident person. That is attractive.

I'm 22 but the rest is literally the same with my case. Would love advice on this. Thanks.

Tbh I'd focus on a social life. You start to realize the most social guys are also some of the most attractive and it isn't always because of looks. Be a definer in your group not just another 'member'. I'm know for being the outspoken one in my group and some people like that and some people don't.
In hs I figured that if I was friends with everyone I'd be set. Unfortunately rarely do you fit into every group of people. Once I learned that not everyone has to like me, I finally became happy with who I was and the people that were around me.
Girls kinda just followed after. I was doing shit, having fun and was able to talk shit for ages with whomever I wanted, and doing that with girls + a bit of alcohol was easy.
Before I was even at this stage in my life, I was just empathetic. In highschool is was overly so, but being able to emotionally connect with people you just meet is so ridiculous good. Girls feel safe/comfortable around you and you're able to have a deep convo at the same time.
Also lift.

Could you elaborate more on the emotional part?
The rest I agree with. Just get your shit together really innit.

Kk the first girl I ever 'picked up' was this chick I met at a house party. I just moved across the world and wasn't really digging my long distance relationship (I moved to aussie, my Gf of over a year lived in the US, and was my first Gf).
I noticed this chick wasn't having a good time at all. I knew noone there, minus one person at this house party and figured I'd just chat with her. It started off asking how she was doing, but honestly people love talking about themselves. She had a tattoo that look semi recent (was a rose) and asked if it had any meaning. Apparently her mom had died earlier that year and she got it in memory for her. My first response was asking her if she was alright and how she was holding up, because even though she was a stranger to me, I still cared about how she felt.
I didn't end up fucking her cause I was in a relationship, but because I wanted to know if I could, I asked her for a kiss (which she gave me). And yes I broke up with my girlfriend the next morning.
The emotion bit is difficult and just something I've always known. It's just reading people and their body language and going gauging conversations and topics based on that.
I was in sales (bestbuy lol) before I moved so I've kind of just developed being able to chat for no reason but also tell when people aren't interested.
I will say the emotional attachment is on a similar level but I've figured out how to control it better. Previously I was cringy as fuck, but as I grew and chatted with more people I started to realize that a lot of people are assholes and don't deserve my empathy/time so I really only care about people who care about me now.

I remember reading something about how girls feel a lot so if you can make them feel different emotions they like you more? Suppose this is relevant to that.

I feel like there are a lot of guys here that think doing whatever they want to whoever they want, whenever they want is the best way to pick up chicks.
Being a dick doesn't make you good at pick up. Being confident does. I do whatever I want whenever I want as long as it's not screwing someone else over.

Yeah man. Tbh I used to look at this stuff a fair bit a few months ago, I find most of it sort of cringey now. It doesn't appear to me to be some kind of CSI million dollar operation to 'manipulate' a woman into bed with you. I feel like if you just sort of, do what you're supposed to do as a man, ie be a strong role model, kind but decisive, then lone and behold women find you attractive.
From my perspective, the primary issue with a lot of guys' issues with women, is the fact that they're insecure or whatever. Like just get on with whatever creative hobby it is that you enjoy, start exercising and being healthy, work on your insecurity problems, start volunteering non profit somewhere, stop being a total bum and you'll probably find that women find you attractive.
I don't speak from experience by any means however, just my perceptions. But I don't see how someone who isn't a total weirdo and has banged out the gym for 3 years then gone on a cut can have trouble with women.
In fact I just looked up Sasha's AMA - he says here that you've got to basically work on your self esteem.
It's not hard. Just sort your shit out basically.

Something that's rarely told is that you should date up. Date an average looking girl with a nice personality. Two such affairs and you have the confidence and know how's to approach attractive women. Who can themselves be not worth it.

Same position as this guy and the semester is almost over. Would also like some advice
[–]Lilmystery102 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You have to act like the prize. You are making the girls day by going and talking to her. You do not have to go to parties to find hot girls you can just find them out on the street. Show confidence and say something interesting. If you get to nervous then look at canned openers to help you so you can fall back. A girl doesn't want you to come up and just ask for her number. She wants something interesting make yourself standout even if it takes for you to peacock.

Go to the gym, attempt to talk to every attractive girl you see even if its to ask for the time and make a conversation any way you can. You will be shut down repetitively but you will grow stronger. Physically and emotionally

You make it seem as if you're advising him to talk to every girl in gym. OP don't do that.
